Do you think that you have to be born a witch to practice or can these things be learnt?

Well, I frankly believe that witchcraft is a learned art. Although, it can also be anatural thing too.
Natural-born witches are the ones that more easily pick up on spells and other aspects of witchcraft...the more preliminarily skilled are natural witches.
Of course you can teach witchcraft, but natural witches learn more quickly and easier.
Natural witches aren't EXACTLY natural witches. Meaning that just because they're born a witch, doesn't mean that they are able to perform witchcraft right off the bat. It has to be taught to them too.

A pure/true witch is born. There maybe some people who can learn to be a witch and may a good job of it too, but they will never have the essense of a true witch. People who are born with certain abilities tend to have a clear genetic line. for example it my run down the female side of a family, or it my run down the male side, or perhaps it just depends on each generation? It is true what 'vitanceii' says, Natural witches aren't EXACTLY natural witches. Meaning that just because they're born a witch, doesn't mean that they are able to perform witchcraft right off the bat. It has to be taught to them to. just because you have "witch blood", doesnt mean that you will be any good at witchcraft.

I think that Witchcraft needs to be learned. Being born into a faith does not guarantee spiritual wellness, no matter what you practice. Your natural ability comes from within. Although being born into a family which practices Witchcraft most likely allows for one to be more open and accepting about the Craft, and therefore more apt to spiritual workings.

in a mimetic universe where power can inhabit a body or an object as long as its mimetic conductivity it equal to or greater than that of the mimetic entity charging the object. one must look at an individuals natural ability to project and apply mimetic fields bloodline is a factor as mimetic properties are usually hereditary . so to say everyone has the ability to interact with the mimetic universe but success depends on one "field of affectation " how well they conduct their intention to their goal a natural itch would have a predisposition to project mimetic fields due to a large cohesive mimetic field for a person who is as they say not a natural witch must be aware that their ability to project a mimetic field is limited by their genetic predisposition so they must make steps to enhance their own conductivity once they achievethis their power will be equal to a natural witch and may be able to pass this ability to their children as memetic aility tends to strengthen over time through bloodlines of epeople who seek to enhance their spiritual abiliteies

My view: Just as magick is grounded in both spirit and matter, so is the passing of witchcraft skill. Thus, one can be born with it, or one can learn it, but it takes the right combination of both.
